PROGRESSIVE PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Music teachers are a lucky breed. We get to watch the magic that happens as students discover their unique talents and grow as they practice and perform for the world. Whether rehearsing with an orchestra or writing original lyrics to a song, my private students use an ever-growing inventory of knowledge, experience, sheet music, and active listening to jump start and inspire their creative thinking. Through grants made possible by the Donors Choose Foundation, students have gained access to instruments, games, and learning materials that help electrify our artistry and love of learning!

Nothing brings a community together quite like a musical. We vigorously prepare in an effort to wow our audiences with creativity and vulnerability. Families and loved ones mark their calendars months in advance as they excitedly look forward to the seeing magic on stage. Students experience a heightened sense of focus, hard work, and rush of joy as they perform for the world, pouring their hearts and souls into delivering the best performance possible!

Artists develop their craft with every step they take. Life presents itself with an array of shared and individualized experience, providing a wealth of knowledge for each and every student to find their artistic voice. A well-rounded music education involves consistent practice and detailed preparation, yet wouldn't be complete without learning opportunities that help us experience and analyze art within our community. We deepen our understanding and appreciation of music through engaging field trips that provide real world experience and hands on application within our units of study.
